Privacy notice

NYPTID Info has no accounts and no ads. We collect as little as the site needs to work, and this page lists all of it.

Last updated 30 September 2026

What we collect

  • A salted hash of your IP address, recorded when you ask for a new article, send a report or start a donation. It lets us apply daily limits — so one person cannot spend the whole day's writing budget — without knowing who you are. The hash is made with a secret value and cannot be turned back into your address. We never store the raw IP address.
  • Topics you request. The topic you type becomes the article's title, and the article is public.
  • Reports, only with your consent. When you use the Report button and tick the consent box, we store the article, the section if you chose one, the kind of issue and your note, with the hash above. No account details or IP address are stored with it. Please do not put personal information in a note.
  • Donation records. Payment happens on Stripe's checkout page. We receive the amount and Stripe's checkout session id, never your card or wallet details.
  • Your theme choice (light or dark), saved in your own browser's storage. It is never sent to us.

How reports are used

Reports are used to correct articles, and to improve NYPTID's own models — for example, as examples of the errors and slants our fact-checking missed. They are not published, sold or shared with anyone outside NYPTID.

What we never do

No ads, no tracking cookies, and no selling or renting of data to anyone. Donating does not create an account or put you on a mailing list.

Who else is involved

  • Stripe processes donations under its own privacy policy. It sees the payment details you give it; we do not.
  • OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to (currently xAI, OpenAI and Anthropic) receive the topic text and source material when an article is written. They do not receive your IP address or its hash from us.
  • Wikipedia and a public King James Version text service are queried by our server for the topic and the Bible references. Your browser does not contact them.
  • Supabase hosts the database that holds articles, reports and the records above.
  • Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host, it handles your IP address in order to deliver pages and may keep it briefly in its own operational logs.

Your choices

You can read everything on NYPTID Info without sending us anything. Reports are optional and need your consent. Because reports carry no account or IP address, we cannot look one up by person; if you put something personal in a note, write to us with the article and roughly when you sent it, and we will delete it.
